Do you love the traditional Mexican décor style, but you’re not so sure about having a brightly-colored wedding? This royal blue talavera-inspired wedding at Cabo’s Villa Clara Vista will prove to you there are more subtle ways of achieving that authentic Mexican look while still designing a modern, stylish destination wedding.
Bride Amy knew she wanted a unique Mexican design for her private villa wedding in Cabo’s exclusive Pedregal community, but she did not want to do the traditional bright multi-colored look. We took her love of talavera-style pottery and royal blue and incorporated both into a chic décor collection that was completely different and totally elegant!
When it came to the flowers, Amy also had a vision of something bold and distinctive. We worked many hours with Rene from Cabo Floral Studio to come up with the bright florals and tequila centerpieces, which were a perfect fit with this design.
This couple did not want a sweetheart table for their reception seating, but they still wanted their table to stand out from the rest. We used a patterned fabric on their table to make it just a little more special than the other guests’ tables and it turned out lovely!
Our team also created a special layout for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception so that the entire day’s events could be held at the villa. This wedding was so much fun to work on, and we adored how perfectly the color scheme matched the blue and white property at Villa Clara Vista!
