This gorgeous private villa wedding by the expert team of planners at Creative Destination Events is certain proof a Cabo beach wedding can be both glamorous and fun—the best of both worlds!
Our décor design team loved the fact that bride Kristen wanted both a light, beachy look for her ceremony on the sand, and also a romantic, elegant theme for the reception décor. Combining two styles for your ceremony and reception is a great idea, and as long as the areas are not adjacent your guests will not think twice about the differences! Since most beach weddings are already separate from the reception venue, we had so many options for Kristen’s beach wedding ceremony décor!
We chose simple wooden benches for the seating and combined this look with a new dark brown wooden huppah from Cabo Floral Studio. We adorned the huppah with asymmetrical curtains (a romantic look we love on the beach) and loose floral arrangements made of the same flowers in the bridal party’s bouquets! The soft blush, ivory and white huppah flowers were another great way to tie the beachy décor to the more elegant reception décor.
The neutral color palette was an important aspect of the overall reception décor, because this particular private villa features a strong Mexican motif with Mediterranean accents. Our off-white shantung linen and cotton napkins, gold infinity chairs and blush napkin bands added the perfect amount softness to the space.
We also used gold chargers on the guest tables, but opted for clear chargers on the head table so the bridal party could better enjoy the textured rosette tone on tone table runner. A textured runner is a great way to add more style and elegance to any type of celebration—we loved adding such a special touch to this design!
By including the candles in the centerpieces, we were able to add even more glamour to Kristen and Ryan’s private villa reception décor.
We always recommend the addition of candles and lanterns to the table décor—there is truly nothing more romantic and no other lighting compares to gorgeous natural candlelight!
A final very important detail we must mention about this design is the use of the rectangular tables for the reception seating. Round tables would not have allowed for comfortable seating for 50 guests on the villa terrace, so the rectangular tables were an excellent choice and allowed for great guest flow. The longer tables also added a touch of drama and elegance, which paired perfectly with the soft, romantic décor. Lastly, we used two of the existing villa tables and designed custom table linens to match the overall set-up.
